Am I a good candidate for CoolSculpting?

A good candidate for CoolSculpting will have noticeable bulges in certain areas on their body that they would like to eliminate. This procedure has been designed specifically for those who have unwanted fat that is resistant to diet and exercise. This is not a weight loss solution for people who are obese, but is instead a nonsurgical alternative to liposuction.

What is the cost for a CoolSculpting procedure?

The cost of the procedure will depend on a few different variables, including what your areas of concern are, the amount of treatment sessions you will need and what your ultimate goals are. A customized treatment plan will be created that is tailored to your goals, body and your budget. 

How long are the sessions & how many will I need?

The length of your CoolSculpting session will depend on how many areas are going to be treated. You may need additional sessions in order to meet your goals and all of this will be discussed during your consultation.

What happens to the fat & are the results permanent?

Once the fat cells have been crystallized (frozen), your body will process the fat and will naturally eliminate those dead cells. Once the treated fat cells are gone, they will never come back.

What does the treatment feel like?

Once the cooling starts, you will feel pressure and intense cold that will soon dissipate.

Is the CoolSculpting procedure safe?

CoolSculpting is an FDA-approved procedure for the flank (love handles), abdomen and thighs. This treatment has proven to be a safe and effective treatment for non-surgical fat reduction.

What happens if I gain weight in the future?

Many of our patients make changes to take better care of themselves after seeing the results from their CoolSculpting treatment. If you do gain weight down the road however, you may gain it evenly all over your body, not just in the treated areas.

Can I return to my normal activities after treatment?

Yes, you can. CoolSculpting is nonsurgical and you can usually resume your normal activities immediately afterwards.

When will I see results?

Some patients notice changes in as little as three weeks following treatment and the most dramatic results will be noticeable after two months. You body will continue to flush out fat cells for four to six months after treatment.

Do I need to take special supplements or follow a strict diet and exercise program?

There are no required pills or supplements to take after treatment and you do not need to change your diet or exercise habits. Many of our patients feel a new motivation to take better care of themselves after treatment though.

Are there any side effects?

You may feel some tugging, pulling, numbness, pinching or minor discomfort during the procedure. After the procedure, some side effects you may experience include redness, swelling, temporary numbness, bruising, stinging, firmness and pain. There are also very rare side effects that may occur. CoolSculpting is not a procedure for everyone and you should not have this procedure if you suffer from cryoglobulinemia or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria.
